Liverpool maestro Philippe Coutinho voted Premier League PFA Fans' Player of the Month for February

Liverpool and Brazil international midfielder, Philippe Coutinho, has been named the PFA Fans' Player of the Month for February. The award, powered by the football platform 90min comes following Philippe Coutinho’s great form for Liverpool in the last month in which he scored two goals to help Liverpool remain in contention for a top four place in the Barclays Premier League.

Coutinho was part of the Liverpool team that draw at Merseyside neighbours Everton at the start of the month and then he helped Liverpool to a 3-2 victory against Tottenham. Coutinho also helped Liverpool overcome Crystal Palace in the FA Cup 5th round to set up a tie against Blackburn Rovers. Coutinho followed this up with a man of the match performance against high flying Southampton, scoring the opening goal in a 2-0 victory at St Mary’s. Last weekend Coutinho scored the winning goal as Liverpool beat champions Manchester City 2-1 at Anfield.

Liverpool are currently 5th in the Premier League table having won two out of three games in February. Liverpool play at home to Burnley on Wednesday evening and will be looking to continue their recent good run of form.

The PFA Fans’ Player of the Month awards are designed to give a strong voice to the supporters who are the lifeblood of the game. The awards are endorsed by the players and supported by the clubs.

One lucky fan voter will be chosen to present Philippe Coutinho with the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award in person later this month.
