Liverpool linked with former Man Utd forward

The sports press are winding up the rumour mill as we prepare for the January transfer window.

With Liverpool struggling for form and also missing injured striker Daniel Sturridge, while Sadio Mane prepares for a New Year trip to the African Cup of Nations, its an easy assumption to make that manager Jurgen Klopp is on the look out for a new striker.

The latest name being linked with a possible move to Anfield is  Javier Hernandez. That's right, the former Manchester United man, now plying his trade at Bayer Leverkusen.

With a price tag of £33.5m and also reported interest from Tottenham and Valencia, it looks like someone is keen to get these rumours off the ground. Whether or not anything comes to fruition before deadline day, we will have to wait and see.
