Liverpool legend Fowler frustrated by injury Down Under

Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler insists his move to Australia was not for an easy ride as his latest injury threatens to rule him out of North Queensland Fury's A-League opener next month.   Fowler signed a two-year deal with the Australian side in February but has yet to take part in a full training session.   His injuries were initially only expected to sideline the 34-year-old for one or two weeks but they have continued to cause problems, threatening his involvement in the first game of the season against Sydney FC on August 8.   Fowler is expected to join his new team-mates in full training next week and the well-travelled forward insists he is eager to get playing as soon as possible.   'I'm not here for a holiday,' he told the Townsville Bulletin. 'I have come here and I want to enjoy my football and I want to play as much as anyone, but certain things dictate that sometimes you can't play.   'I'm prepared to work hard and get on that pitch, I'm not just here to enjoy the sun, it's pride in myself.'
