Liverpool forward Luis Suarez a shock target for Spurs?

The rumour mill is in full swing and the word is Tottenham Hotspur could start a North London transfer tussle with Arsenal for Liverpools Luis Suarez.

With Gareth Bale subject of an world record £85,000,000 bid from Real Madrid, and with the Welshman reportedly telling manager Andre Villas Boas he wants to leave, Tottenham will have plenty of money in the coffers to bring in a big name signing.

Arsenal have had an offer of £40,000,001 rejected by Liverpool for their star man, and if Spurs are to make a bid, it is to be noted that LIverpool rate their man closer to £55,000,000.

Surely he'd prefer a move to Arsenal though? With Suarez publicly stating his desire to play Champions League football, a move to the Gunners would suit him better.

But Spurs will have the money and could outbid their rivals, and in the modern game, money talks.
