Liverpool FC’s Rafael Benitez and I fight for our clubs says Arsene Wenger of Arsenal

ARSENE WENGER says he understands the added pressure that constantly being in the spotlight brings on his Liverpool counterpart Rafael Benitez.[LNB]Reds boss Benitez has continually found his position the subject of intense scrutiny following an inconsistent Premier League campaign and then early exit from the Champions League as they failed to get through the group stages.[LNB]Wenger said: 'Our job is a public job and subject always to public option. We live always with that and we have to accept that.[LNB]'I have respect for Benitez, like any manager in the Premier League - but football is football. He fights for his club, and I fight for my club.'[LNB]Wenger maintains consistency between now and May will ultimately define Arsenal's campaign - and not just what happens at Anfield tomorrow.[LNB]The Gunners travel to Liverpool aiming to keep within touching distance of Premier League leaders Chelsea, whom they trail by eight points but with a match in hand.[LNB]Following successive defeats to Sunderland and then Chelsea after the international break, Arsenal have now lost four games. Liverpool, meanwhile, are back down in seventh place, with five defeats.[LNB]Should either team suffer another reverse this weekend, and all other results go against them, then the doubters will again be sounding the sound the death knell of their respective title bids.[LNB]Wenger, though, maintains: 'I do not believe there is any difference in the league at the moment where you can say that any team is dominating.[LNB]'Yes Chelsea are on top, but they have also lost three games already and we have only played 14 or 15 matches. It shows you that it will be down to consistency - and consistency for us is starting now to be performing regularly again.[LNB]'We had been disrupted by the international break and lost two games. We had a blip against Sunderland and Chelsea, which was unexpected.[LNB]'But now we won against Stoke and we want to confirm that win.'
