Dirk Kuyt 300[LNB]DIRK KUYT is ready to solve Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson's striker dilemma if Fernando Torres loses his fitness battle ahead of the Merseyside derby.[LNB]The Dutch international admits he is still trying to regain sharpness after missing nearly three weeks with a shoulder injury.[LNB]But Kuyt came through three games in seven days against Sunderland, Utrecht and Blackpool unscathed and insists he's happy to play anywhere to help transform the Reds' fortunes after a dismal start to the campaign.[LNB]With Torres currently sidelined by a groin strain and facing a race against time to be fit to face Everton on Sunday week, Kuyt may be needed to play in a more advanced role at Goodison.[LNB] 'I still need a bit of time. An injury like this needs four to six weeks,' said Kuyt, who is currently with the Dutch squad ahead of Friday night's Euro 2012 qualifier away to Moldova. 'I recovered very quickly but you also need a couple of games to get back into it.[LNB]'If the manager wants me to play up front more often, I am more than happy to do that. But if he sees me in another position in the team and I can help him with that, then that's my job and my aim is to try to help the team.'[LNB]Kuyt, who was signed as a striker from Feyenoord in a £9million deal in 2006, is just grateful to be back playing after damaging his shoulder following a heavy fall in training while on international duty last month.[LNB]The 30-year-old was initially told he would be out for six weeks and has paid tribute to Liverpool's medical team for the part they played in his speedy recovery.[LNB]'I worked very closely with the physios and the rest of the team to get back as quickly as possible and it's great to have such good professional people around you,' he added.
