Alberto Aquilani[LNB]DIRK KUYT today insisted Liverpool can overcome the loss of Xabi Alonso and mount another serious challenge for the Premier League title.[LNB]The Dutchman admits Alonso will be missed following his £30m move to Real Madrid but believes the Reds can cope without him, particularly with Italian star Alberto Aquilani set to sign for the Reds once he has completed a medical.[LNB]Kuyt's involvement in Liverpool's 2-0 friendly win over FC Lyn in Oslo on Wednesday night meant that he was in the dark as news broke about the Reds agreeing a £20m fee with Roma for Aquilani's services but reckons the Italian international will prove to be a good addition to Rafa Benitez's squad should the deal go through without hitch.[LNB]'I was just focused on the game but if it's correct that he is signing and the deal happens then it's good because we will be signing a new player with a lot of quality," said Kuyt.[LNB]'Xabi is a very good player but these kind of things happen in football.[LNB]'Teams are changing all the time. Xabi played very well for Liverpool but that's all history now and we have to move on.[LNB]'We have to look forward. That's what Xabi is doing with Real Madrid and we have to do the same.[LNB]'We have a lot of good players still here and we are all determined to go one better in the league after coming so close to winning the title last season.'[LNB]Aquilani arrived in the UK yesterday and after landing at Heathrow airport the 25-year-old Italian international was whisked off to undergo a stringent medical examination.[LNB]'Obviously I feel very sorry to leave my city and Roma,' said Aquilani.
