Liverpool FC fans letters: Supporters should not be blamed for flat Europa League atmosphere
HANG on a minute - why is it us fans who are copping all the flak for that woeful performance against Unirea last week?[LNB]It was all, 'the atmosphere was flat, nobody wanted to be there, etc...'[LNB]For the record we did want to be there and we are well up for the Europa League - as long as Liverpool are as well.[LNB]The fact is, they gave us very little to cheer about with yet more painful attempts to break down an opposition defence coming to nothing.[LNB]If we'd smashed five past them like we should have done, then the ground would have been bouncing.[LNB]So stop blaming the competition - it's the team that's at fault here.[LNB]Vast improvement tomorrow please.[LNB]Ian Sheffield, Halewood
