Liverpool FC fans letters: Reds showed massive improvement against Portsmouth
THE performance against Portsmouth on Monday night was the best this year! [LNB]This is the way Rafa Benitez has been wanting the team to play all season but injuries have prevented that.[LNB]The triangles of passing between Steven Gerrard, Ryan Babel and Alberto Aquilani was reminiscent of last season with Xabi Alonso.[LNB]Babel seems to have got his act together.[LNB]He was even getting back defending![LNB]If we can carry on playing like this for the rest of the season we should get that fourth spot.[LNB]Jimbo81[LNB]MONDAY night's match against Portsmouth was infuriating.[LNB]It didn't take a genius to work out that taking Dirk Kuyt and Lucas out of the side and putting in Alberto Aquilani and Ryan Babel would produce movement and creativity.[LNB]So why has Rafa not done it earlier?[LNB]Will Rafa stick with it against Lille?
