Liverpool FC boss Rafa Benitez to hold further talks in bid to resolve future

Rafa Benitez[LNB]LIVERPOOL manager Rafa Benitez will hold further talks with chairman Martin Broughton and managing director Christian Purslow in a bid to decide his future.[LNB]The Spaniard enjoyed a 'constructive' discussion with the Anfield hierarchy during a meeting in London yesterday.[LNB]It was the first time Benitez had sat down with British Airways chief Broughton, who was appointed as the Reds' independent chairman last month to oversee the sale of the club.[LNB]Benitez, who is being chased by Juventus, was hoping to secure assurances over his transfer kitty for this summer and the club's ongoing search for new investment.[LNB]In turn Broughton and Purslow were keen to discover the manager's intentions amid mounting speculation he could quit Anfield for the Serie A giants.[LNB]A club spokesman said: 'We are pleased that the first of what is intended to be a series of meetings took place between the chairman, managing director and the manager Rafael Benitez. The meeting was constructive and cordial.[LNB]'The chairman shared his views about plans for the future of the club.[LNB]'There was an exchange of views and issues of concern to both the board and the manager which will either be addressed or be picked up on in future meetings.'[LNB]Benitez has reportedly been given until Monday to accept the offer of a four-year contract from Juventus believed to be worth £16million.
