About 500 Liverpool fans demonstrated at Anfield against the club's American owners last night and showed their support for Rafa Benitez despite his poor record.[LNB]Tom Hicks and George Gillett, who bought the Reds in 2007, recently announced their intention to sell the club, which is currently £351million in debt.[LNB]News that the club parted company with manager Rafael Benitez sparked the impromptu protest, which swelled by word of mouth.[LNB]Burning issue: Liverpool fans show their anger at the club's American owners[LNB]Christian Sampson, 18, from St Helens[LNB]'For me, it was more about coming down here and singing for Benitez as much as it was about criticising the owners.
