Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is monitoring the situation of Paris Saint-Germain defender Lucas Digne as the club ponder a move for the highly rated youngster, according to reports on Wednesday.

Speculation over the French international's future has steadily increased over the summer, with Liverpool being touted as a possible destination should Digne leave Paris.

The 22-year-old's agent, Mikkel Beck, has done little to cool talk of a move, admitting his client is attracting interest from a number of clubs.

“There is a big possibility that he will leave on a permanent deal.” Beck told Get French Football News.

‘Lucas is attracting enormous interest and I am working with Lucas and his family to reach a suitable resolution.’

And now, reports from the Daily Mail suggest that the Reds are still monitoring Digne's situation in France, with the Anfield club looking to add depth to their defensive unit before the start of the Premier League season.
