Daniel Agger has admitted that Rafael Benítez's Liverpool players must "stick together more than ever" after describing Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Portsmouth as "not good enough" for the club. [LNB]Benítez's position as manager at Anfield is now coming under intense scrutiny with the Fratton Park defeat Liverpool's seventh in the league this season leaving the club eight points adrift of a Champions League spot. [LNB]Liverpool are relying on a top-four finish to secure Champions League qualification following their elimination at the group stage of this season's competition. [LNB]But with Wolves due at Anfield on Boxing Day, followed by a potentially crucial trip to fourth-placed Aston Villa next Tuesday, Danish defender Agger admits that Liverpool simply cannot afford a repeat of the Portsmouth performance. [LNB]Agger said: "We are extremely disappointed and we know that it [the Portsmouth defeat] simply wasn't good enough for this club. [LNB]"We have got to change this around. It didn't happen against Portsmouth, but we can't let it go on any further. [LNB]"Why is this happening? It's a bit of everything I suppose, but we have got to try and get some confidence from somewhere soon. You get that by winning games but we are not doing that at the moment. [LNB]"It's always a question of sticking together and we need to do that now more than ever." [LNB]
