Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard will undergo a precautionary scan on a knee injury on Monday afternoon, the Football Association has confirmed.

Gerrard suffered the injury during Sunday's 1-1 Premier League draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but is still expected to travel with the England squad for their friendly against Sweden on Wednesday night.

If Gerrard plays in Stockholm he will win his 100th cap, becoming the sixth player to reach the landmark after Bobby Moore, Peter Shilton, David Beckham, Bobby Charlton and Billy Wright.
