Liverpool boss disappointed

Kenny Dalglish was unhappy with Liverpool's 1-1 home draw with Norwich City and believes they deserved the victory.

"I think on the balance of the game we deserved to take three points from it," he said after the game. "We played really well up to a point, created an awful lot of chances and there was some great passing and moving, but when you are only one goal in front it gives them a bit of encouragement. They were hanging on in there.

"If we don't convert our chances we're always going to give the opposition a chance. They took it. Even then we came back and the goalkeeper has made a fantastic save from Luis late on and big Andy almost scored with a header as well. We're disappointed but I am sure we'll play a lot worse than that and win matches."

"You work to get the chances on the day. It's difficult to assess how you're going to react when you get the chances, but hitting the post three or four times as well doesn't help, but if we keep creating the chances, we've got enough people there who can finish them."

"There's a lot of disappointment because the boys have played really well. I don't think the point is a reflection on how well they've played. As I said, if they continue to play like that they'll win a lot more games than we lose."
