Liverpool await news of Sadio Mane injury

Jurgen Klopp is holding his breath as Liverpool await the results from a scan on Sadio Mane's leg injury.

The Senegalese forward was in fine form for the Reds in their 3-1 win over Everton on Saturday, but left the field in the second half after twisting his ankle.

The Liverpool boss already has plans if Mane is ruled out of Wednesday's game with AFC Bournemouth.

“We can cope with his absence but we don’t have a one for one replacement," said the German.  "That is the truth and hopefully Daniel Sturridge can be available."

Adam Lallana is already out for a month after picking up a thigh injury on international duty and captain Jordan Henderson will be unavailable for at least another week with his calf injury, so Klopp will be hoping the Mane injury isn't as bad as first feared.
