Southampton were handed a semi-final clash with Liverpool after knocking Arsenal out of the EFL Cup.
The Saints recorded a 2-0 win at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night to reach the last four of the competition for the first time since the 1986-87 season.
Liverpool, winners of the cup a record eight times and finalists in 2016, had seen off Leeds on Tuesday evening with a 2-0 victory at Anfield where 17-year-old Ben Woodburn became the club's youngest goalscorer.
The other semi-final will see Manchester United play Hull.
United beat West Ham 4-1 at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, while Hull had needed penalties to get past Sky Bet Championship leaders Newcastle following extra-time in their tie on Tuesday.
The first legs will be played the week commencing January 9, with the second legs a fortnight later.
United boss Jose Mourinho is not taking anything for granted after his side were pitted against the lowest-ranked side left in the competition.
"It's two legs so I was calm with the draw," he told Sky Sports 1.
"If the teams arrive here it's because they put a lot on the competition.
"The two legs take a little emotion from the draw because you don't play at home or away, you have to play at home and away.
"I'm sure Hull City have an amazing memory from Wembley last season (the Championship play-off final) and I'm sure they'll try everything to be there again.
"Man U were there last season and we were there again in August. A club like Man United is used to being at Wembley on a regular basis.
"It's January so now we forget about the semi-final. Hopefully we can reach the final."
