Liverpool Academy starlet Harry Wilson made history on Tuesday night when he became the youngest player to ever play for Wales.

The winger who joined Liverpool aged 8 has always showed tremendous talent. He came on as a substitute in the 87th minute of Wales’ World Cup Qualifier encounter against Belgium.

Harry who is only aged 16 years and 208 days became Wales’ youngest ever player. In so doing beat the previous record that was set by Gareth Bale who was aged 16 years and 315 days when he won his first cap.

By becoming Wales’ all time youngest player, he has also broken another record by being the youngest ever Liverpool player to make his debut for his National side. The previous record was set by the very talented youngster Raheem Sterling who came on for England to make his debut aged 17 years and 342 days.

Harry Wilson has always been highly rated by the Liverpool staff and he is now being recognized at International level. He no doubt has a bright future for club and country but, for the moment Harry should focused on becoming a regular for the Liverpool u21’s side and hopefully in doing so gets a call up to the senior side in the years to come. He is still young and will no doubt develop even further.
