The referee didn't see it though and waves play on 56 Liverpool again struggling to maintain possession as the clock ticks towards the hour mark 54 Foul as Snodgrass is brought down by Mascherano. Free-kick to Leeds and Snodgrass with the delivery tries to find Doyle but the ball goes out of play 52 At the other end Beckford picks up on a long ball in and between two defenders tries the shot but doesn't get enough contact on the ball and Cavalieri clears on the second attempt 50 Grayson's side look in control again then as Liverpool attempt to breah through. He's been one of the best players on the pitch tonight but can't quite find a way through on this occasion 47 Riera tries a shot on goal for Liverpool but Kisnorbo blocks 46 Babel and Riera have switched flanks at the start of this second half. No Gerrard or Torres yet - will they make an appearance this evening? Time will tell! 46 The second half is underway at Elland Road and the crowd are as loud as ever! Hopefully we'll see some goals in this 45-minute spell after a gripping first-half 45 HALF TIME!! Leeds will feel hard done by having a goal disallowed early on. They'll no doubt be back out all guns blazing in what is hopefully as entertaining a second half! 43 The cross in finds Riera but Higgs is in the right place to punch it away. Liverpool really need to tighten up at the back 12 Leeds would argue that Beckford and Becchio were level when the header came in but as it stands the scoreline remains goalless 11 Leeds on the attack again and controversially have a goal disallowed. The flag is up for offside as Beckford scrambles the ball over the line off a Michalik header but the linesman's flag is up. Becchio may have been the reason for the decision - he looked to intervene as the ball crossed the line 9 Chance for Leeds as Snodgrass breaks on the right to thread a decent ball through to Doyle but he heads it wide 7 Liverpool are controlling the ball much better now as they bid to silence the Whites' support. Beckford heads for goal straight away and looks to be pulled down by Caragher when attempting to channel through the Liverpool defender but the referee waves play on 1 We're underway in the Carling Cup.
