Lee hit by FA charge

Liverpool assistant manager Sammy Lee has been charged by the FA with improper conduct Lee was handed the charge after a clash with fourth official Stuart Attwell during last weekend's defeat to Tottenham. The former Bolton manager was sent to the stands in the closing stages at White Hart Lane after confronting Attwell over two penalty appeals for Liverpool which were both turned down. Lee has until 26th August to respond to the charge. Meanwhile, Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson and new Norwich manager Paul Lambert have also been charged with improper conduct. Ferguson's charge relates to the use of abusive language. Lambert's follows his dismissal from the dugout when manager of Colchester in their match against Yeovil Town on 16th August.
