Kuyt hits back at critics

Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt has hit out at his critics and insists he is not in crisis despite his recent troubles in front of goal.
The Netherlands international has come under fire following a series of disappointing displays in which he has failed to find the net.
Kuyt, who has scored just two Premier League goals this season, was dropped from the starting line-up after missing a host of chances in a goalless draw with Blackburn Rovers two weeks ago.
But the 27-year-old striker has brushed off criticism and claims he is totally confident in his ability to score goals for the Reds.
"I can understand the criticism. It makes sense since I missed three great chances against Blackburn Rovers," Kuyt told the Liverpool Echo.
"But people say that I'm in crisis and to them I must respond that I don't feel that way.
"If you list the players at Liverpool who've shown their best form so far this season, I'd be among the top ones."
Meanwhile, the former Feyenoord hitman claims he is happy with manager Rafael Benitez's controversial squad rotation policy.
"Liverpool's rotation system means that often you cannot play two consecutive games. The manager believes that players need to be rested and so he rotates us," he added.
"I knew that this would happen when I arrived at Anfield, and if we finish the season in amongst the silverware then Benitez's decision will have been proved right.
"You won't catch me complaining about it."
