    Kuyt expects Chelsea to falter

    01 Sep 2009 - 09:13:16

Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt fully expects Chelsea's fast start to the new season to come to an end.

Kuyt has been part of a Reds side which has lost two of their opening four games, while an impressive Chelsea outfit has picked up a maximum 12 points.

But despite Chelsea appearing to have the upper hand in the early stages of the Premier League title race, Kuyt is remaining calm and has urged Liverpool fans to do the same.

"Chelsea are a top side," he admitted. "We knew that at the start of the season and we've seen that so far. But every team will struggle this season.

"At the moment, it's not important to look at where teams like Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are because we've got to think about ourselves.

"That is the priority and I'm sure, if we keep winning games, we'll be up there soon.

"We will see where we are in a couple of months but, at this stage, it's more important to think about ourselves and our own performances."
