Kuyt relishing Utrecht return

iverpool forward Dirk Kuyt is relishing a return to Utrecht but there will be no sentimentality when he runs out at Stadion Galgenwaard.[LNB] The 30-year-old had a five-year spell at Utrecht between 1998 and 2003 before he left for Feyenoord and ultimately Anfield.[LNB]He admits this is a trip he has been looking forward to since the draw pitted the two teams together in Group K.[LNB]"It means a lot to go back. They are the club that gave me the opportunity to play professional football," said the Holland international.[LNB]"I had five years there and really enjoyed it. I was really happy for the opportunity they gave me.[LNB]"I don't know a lot of players there now but I know a few guys who work at the club so it'll be nice to go back and see them."[LNB]Unlike some players returning to their former clubs, Kuyt has no plans to mute his joy should he score.[LNB]"I think if you score a goal you always have to celebrate," he added.[LNB]"That is not disrespectful to the team you played for before. When I scored for Feyenoord here I celebrated."[LNB]Kuyt knows a victory, to add to their opening win over Steaua Bucharest, will make life much easier for the Reds as they look to clinch progression from the group as soon as possible.[LNB]"If we beat Utrecht in Utrecht, it will be great because we would have six points in the group already and we would almost be in the next round," he said.[LNB]"They have had some great results there, like beating Celtic 4-0. The 0-0 result in their first group game against Napoli was decent too.[LNB]"They seem to make it very difficult for big teams. If you ask the Ajax players if they like going to Utrecht, then everyone would say 'no' because it's very difficult to get a good result there."[LNB]Kuyt has yet to win any silverware at Anfield since his move from Feyenoord in 2006, despite coming close in the Premier League and reaching the Champions League final.[LNB]The only trophy Kuyt has won in his career is the Dutch Cup as an Utrecht player, but he believes Liverpool can secure the Europa League this term.[LNB]"I have still got the belief that we can do it," he told the Liverpool Daily Post. "It's been four years that I haven't won anything at Liverpool.[LNB]"Sometimes you can be really close and miss it and that's unfortunately what has happened to me, we finished second in the Premier League and lost a Champions League final.[LNB]"We were close, and one thing we can do is work hard and believe and I'm still convinced I can win trophies at Liverpool.[LNB]"The last trophy I won and the only trophy I have won was so far was the cup final in Holland. I hope it's not my last trophy.[LNB]"All the players at Liverpool want to win as many trophies as possible, so we are very disappointed to be out of the Carling Cup.[LNB]"That happens but we are now looking to the next game. And we definitely want to do well in the Europa League.[LNB]"We as players want to change things as quickly as possible and we are working really hard together to change things. We have the quality to do well in the Premier League and Europa League and also in the other competitions."
