Kuyt flying high after Reds' Euro romp

Dirk Kuyt is feeling optimistic ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash against Fulham following the Europa League victory over Benfica.[LNB] Kuyt opened the scoring as the Reds overturned a first-leg deficit to progress to the last four 5-3 on aggregate after a 4-1 win at Anfield.[LNB]Lucas was also on target and Fernando Torres struck twice as the hosts produced a fine attacking performance at Anfield.[LNB]Kuyt said: "Almost every goal was from a very high quality.[LNB]"And also the first goal of Fernando was an absolutely great goal - I think one of the best goals this season.[LNB]"After a corner against us, a great counter-attack and a good pass from Yossi (Benayoun) and me and I could give the ball to Fernando and he finished it off as he does always.[LNB]"It was almost the same feeling as if I'd scored a goal myself. I just get such a good feeling if we play like we did.[LNB]"I think the team had a great performance and you can see that if we play as a team and we work as a team, we are a very good team and a tough side to beat."[LNB]There was confusion after Kuyt headed the opener from a corner in the 27th minute as the goal appeared to initially have been disallowed.[LNB]A flag was raised on the far side - apparently for offside - but the referee and assistant behind the goal agreed the goal should stand.[LNB]Players cannot be offside from a corner but Kuyt said the debate was over whether the ball touched another Liverpool player before it reached him.[LNB]The 29-year-old said: "The linesman thought a Liverpool player touched the ball before I touched the ball, so he gave offside but that wasn't the case.[LNB]"It was a misunderstanding but I think it was strong of the referee to reconsider the situation."[LNB]Liverpool will now hope to carry the momentum from a pulsating night forward to Sunday's Premier League clash against Fulham.[LNB]Kuyt accepts they will need to win all five of their remaining games to have any chance of qualifying for the Champions League.[LNB]Liverpool are sixth, four points adrift of the crucial fourth spot having played a game more than current incumbents Manchester City.[LNB]He said: "That's the case from now on, and also from last week.[LNB]"We need to win every game now to hopefully be fourth. It's not in our hands, but all we can do is win our games."
