Dirk Kuyt believes Liverpool can keep the title race alive with victory over Manchester United on Saturday.[LNB] Sir Alex Ferguson's men have not dropped a single point at home since being held to a 1-1 draw by Newcastle on the opening day of the season and Kuyt accepts it will be difficult to go to Old Trafford and win.[LNB]However, the Dutchman has been buoyed by Liverpool's magnificent 4-0 victory over Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League in midweek.[LNB]"Beating Real 4-0 at Anfield has to be one of our biggest results in years and it sets us up perfectly for Saturday," Kuyt said in the Daily Mail.[LNB]"It was the ideal performance and result ahead of such a huge game and it underlined how capable we are now of beating top teams.[LNB]"United are a very good team, but so are Real."[LNB]MessageLiverpool defeated United at Anfield earlier in the season and have also beaten Chelsea at home and away in the Premier League.[LNB]They remain seven points off the pace, with United also having a game in hand, but Kuyt has not given up hope of making up the difference. [LNB]He said: "When you look at what we have already done against United and Chelsea, and now against Madrid, it shows we can get the better of big opponents.[LNB]"United are playing really well, especially at home, but we need all three points and will be giving it all we can. [LNB]"The title race would be over if we lost but winning would send out a big message, even bigger than the one against Real.[LNB]"There would still be a gap to make up, but we can think about that later. All that matters for now is winning."[LNB]
