Kuyt an injury doubt
Dirk Kuyt is doubtful for the West Ham game. Holland coach Bert van Marwijk decided not to play Kuyt last night, instead sending him back to Melwood to work with Liverpool's doctors, after the forward felt pain in the ankle he injured last time on international duty. "Dirk will be missing for the friendly. He has too much pain from his ankle. I knew it was going to be a tight race for him to be involved but he thought it would be okay," said van Marwijk, ahead of last night's game. "He really wanted to play. That says a lot about his attitude. But it has been decided that it is best for him to withdraw."
