Klopp gives injury update

After a mid-season training camp in La Manga, Liverpool are ready for Monday night's game at struggling Leicester City, who are also now managerless after the club sacked Claudio Ranieri.

"Daniel we had to send home because he had a viral infection," the Liverpool boss said of Daniel Sturridge, in the pre-match press conference. "He’ll probably will come in today, first time. A few days.

“Dejan Lovren could not join us, he was running today. It was possible, felt good.

“He could do a few more steps in the right direction, but for all the rest it was good.”

Liverpool are now 11 points adrift of Chelsea at the top of the table, but only one behind fourth placed Arsenal. A win would certainly bolster their chances of qualification for next season's Champions League.
