Kenny leaves door open for Aquilani
Alberto Aquilani could be playing for Liverpool this season, despite persistent rumours of a move back to Serie A. The 27-year-old Italian midfielder spent last season on loan at Juventus and has been linked with Fiorentina and AC Milan in recent weeks, although it is believed that Liverpool are reluctant to agree a loan move and are holding out for a permanent deal to free up funds for another possible summer signing. "We have been delighted with him in pre-season and we are delighted to have him as part of the squad," said the Liverpool boss at Wednesday's press conference.
