Kenny Dalglish wants Liverpool FC players to match his ambition

Kenny Dalglish 460[LNB]KENNY DALGLISH today called on his players to match his own ambitions for Liverpool during his second reign at Anfield.[LNB]After a hectic start the Reds legend was today getting down to business at Melwood - preparing his men for a crucial clash against Blackpool tomorrow evening.[LNB]And Dalglish challenged his Liverpool squad to demonstrate the desire necessary on the pitch to mirror the club's high standards.[LNB]The Scot told the ECHO: 'If there isn't the desire from the players to match the ambition that's necessary, then they can't be here.[LNB] 'But if we go out in the right and proper manner, then all we can do is do our best to try and get positive results for this club.[LNB]'We've got to just get on with it.'[LNB]Dalglish's first full week proper starts with a trip to Bloomfield Road tomorrow, before the Merseyside Derby at Anfield on Sunday.[LNB]On Monday, Dalglish spent the morning at Melwood with his players, also under the stewardship of incoming first team coach, Steve Clarke.
