PLAYERS and managers come and go at Anfield.[LNB]Some are taken to Liverpool FC's heart, others leave little more than a passing imprint on the club.[LNB]But there are those whose legend will forever remain embedded within L4 for decades to come.[LNB]Almost certainly, the man who enjoys the most unbridled affection among Reds is Kenny Dalglish.[LNB]The Kop quickly fell in love with the man who was set to be nicknamed 'The King' after he joined the Reds from Celtic in 1977 as a direct replacement for Kevin Keegan.[LNB] There had been brief doubts over whether Dalglish had the potential to replace that Anfield great after his exit to German side Hamburg.[LNB]But the Liverpool faithful need not have worried as he topped the scoring charts in the league that season, climaxing with a wonderful chipped finish to clinch the European Cup at Wembley against Bruges in 1978.
