Kenny Dalglish happy for Liverpool players to be in England Under 21 squad

ShareLiverpool manager Kenny Dalglish insists he is 'fine' with the selection of any of his players for England Under 21s this summer.[LNB]There has been much speculation about striker Andy Carroll's involvement with Stuart Pearce's squad for the European Championships next month.[LNB]Reds midfielder Jay Spearing was also called into group and Dalglish insisted he deserved equal mention.[LNB] Green light: Kenny Dalglish is happy for Andy Carroll to play in Denmark[LNB]'We will wait and see if he (Carroll) is picked on Monday,' said the 60-year-old Scot.[LNB]'At the moment Jay is in the squad and he's not had a mention.[LNB]'If he gets into the under 21 squad it is a fantastic reward for what he's done.[LNB]'If any other of our players go then fine.'[LNB]Spearing was a late call-up to the preliminary squad, replacing injured Bolton midfielder Mark Davies.[LNB] Late call-up: Jay Spearing was not in the initial party[LNB]But the combative midfielder, 22, has been a regular in Liverpool's side since Kenny Dalglish took over in January.[LNB]Carroll has endured an injury-hit second half of the season and is said to have questioned whether playing in the finals in Denmark could do him more harm than good ahead of the new campaign.[LNB]And Arsene Wenger waded into the debate this week by stating that if Jack Wilshere is included, as expected, then Carroll should be too.[LNB] Burnout: Arsene Wenger fears for Jack Wilshere[LNB]Wenger said: 'I could understand if Carroll doesn't go for injury problems but for fatigue problems it would be more difficult to convince people in England he is more tired than Jack Wilshere.'[LNB] Calm down, calm down!
