Kenny Dalglish facing transfer trouble in chase for Charlie Adam and Luis Suarez
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish remains hopeful of adding to his squad before time runs out at the end of the transfer window. [LNB]Ajax coach Frank de Boer has placed a Saturday deadline to finalise a deal for forward Luis Suarez - despite the fact both clubs are miles apart in their valuations - while the pursuit of Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam has also stumbled over the transfer fee. [LNB]Having watched his side grind out a 1-0 win at home to Fulham on Wednesday night, Dalglish would like to bring in reinforcements, especially after selling Ryan Babel to Hoffenheim, but time and money may conspire against him. [LNB]However, in the 52nd minute they received their slice of fortune - quite literally - when John Pantsil's attempted clearance spun off his left boot and over the line. [LNB]Liverpool could have taken the lead from Torres' shot which rebounded off the post to prompt the melee in the six-yard area but instead of capitalising the Reds found themselves hanging on at the end. [LNB]Raul Meireles, who put in another assured performance, hacked a Brede Hangeland header off the line with goalkeeper Jose Reina beaten to ensure a second successive clean sheet. [LNB]'Fulham will be feeling a little hard done by because they will think they deserved something from the game,' added Dalglish. 'But there have been many games when we thought we deserved more from it than we got. [LNB]'The boys showed a great deal of determination and effort and it is great credit to them after a hard run of games. [LNB]'I think that type of victory has been a long time coming because we worked hard we got a little bit of good fortune.'[LNB]Fulham boss Mark Hughes also felt his side deserved more from the game. [LNB]'We are shaking our heads in there,' he said in reference to the reaction in the dressing room afterwards. [LNB]'I've been involved in many teams as a player and a manager coming here where we've been totally dominated and been lucky to get anything. [LNB]'This was the complete opposite.
