iverpool manager Kenny Dalglish believes midfielder Steven Gerrard will benefit from his omission from the England squad.[LNB] The influential Reds captain is still striving for full fitness after a six-month lay-off with a groin injury.[LNB]The 31-year-old was back in England contention after making three substitute appearances but Dalglish feels Fabio Capello was right to overlook him for Friday's Euro 2012 qualifier in Montenegro.[LNB]Dalglish said in the Liverpool Echo: "I think it's beneficial for everybody that Stevie hasn't been called up by England.[LNB]"He's got back to where he is right now because of the people that have been working with him. He's said himself that he has great faith in those people.[LNB]"I don't think it would have been helpful for Stevie - or us or England - if he had gone away for the game against Montenegro. I think it's a sensible decision for all concerned."
