Kaka hails 'complete' Gerrard

Brazil international Kaka believes AC Milan need to sign players of the calibre of Steven Gerrard if they are to challenge for honours in the future.

The Rossoneri's ageing squad is in need of revitalising as several players come to the end of their careers.

Kaka knows it has been another season of under-achievement at the San Siro and has told the club's hierarchy that new signings need to be made.

He said: "I like modern football. I like players that know how to attack and defend.

"If it was up to me, I would sign someone like (Steven) Gerrard, who for me is a complete player.

"He can play in any position, as a playmaker, midfielder, right-sided midfielder and he would look good at Milan.

"A cycle is ending, a new one will begin. The time has come to refresh the squad.

"You need to have a mix of experience and young players with the will to win."
