AC Milan star Kaka believes Liverpool captain Steve Gerrard would be an ideal signing for the Serie A side. Brazil playmaker Kaka and England midfielder Gerrard have gone head-to-head in two UEFA Champions League finals, with the Reds triumphing in 2005 and Milan gaining revenge two years later. The Rossoneri did not qualify for this season's competition and appear powerless to prevent city rivals Inter claiming a fourth successive Serie A crown. And Kaka feels Gerrard, who only recently extended his Anfield contract until the summer of 2013, would be a perfect addition. "I like modern football, I like players that know how to attack and defend," said Kaka. Complete player "If it was up to me, I would sign someone like (Steven) Gerrard, who for me is a complete player. "He can play in any position, as a playmaker, midfielder, right-sided midfielder and he would look good at Milan." Kaka is well aware Milan must strengthen their squad if they wish to compete for silverware next season. "A cycle is ending, a new one will begin," he said. "The time has come to refresh the squad. "You can have a mix of experience and young players with the will to win."
