Rafa Benitez 300[LNB]JUVENTUS are poised to further ratchet up their pursuit of Rafa Benitez as speculation around the Liverpool's manager position intensified.[LNB]Though Benitez's agent Manuel Garcia Quilon insisted yesterday that he wants to stay at Anfield, the situation is not so clear cut as the Spaniard believes key promises have been broken.[LNB]He is due to meet Martin Broughton for talks about his and Liverpool's future but it emerged yesterday that Benitez had cancelled two meeting with the new chairman in the past fortnight.[LNB]Liverpool are refusing to comment on the matter, while Benitez was out of reach on a scheduled day off yesterday - along with the rest of the first team squad - and was not due back at Melwood until this afternoon to take training.[LNB]Benitez wants assurances from Broughton that any funds raised from player sales during the summer will go straight back into his transfer kitty and not into servicing the club's debt.[LNB]If that guarantee is not given when they meet - a date has yet to be arranged - then it is increasingly likely Benitez's reign will come to an end.[LNB]'He (Benitez) has a meeting with the chairman this week, and from what I can say Rafael Benitez wants to continue at Liverpool,' said Quilon.[LNB]'Benitez needs to know what the plans are for the future. For the investment into players at the club. That is going to be important. I have not made any agreement with Juventus. He has four years left of his contract.'
