Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish was keen to sign the French full back in the summer before opting to bring in Jose Enrique. Since then Juventus have stepped up their interest by reportedly offering Lyon to take back former left back Fabio Grosso in an exchange deal for Cissokho.
Lyon are understood to have rejected that approach from the Italian side instead insisting on taking Italy international striker Vincenzo Iaquinta instead of Grosso.
