Liverpool and England right-back Glen Johnson is predicting a 'big year' for both club and country. Johnson is eagerly anticipating the new campaign having signed at Anfield from Portsmouth earlier this summer. The Reds are looking to build on last season's title push as they bid to land a first league title since 1990. England, meanwhile, are all-but qualified for the 2010 World Cup, with expectations high under head coach Fabio Capello. Johnson said: "Liverpool are one of the big four so they will be in the spotlight a lot more. It could be a big year. "We have high hopes within the Liverpool camp. With the World Cup coming up it's a big year for everyone." Of his blossoming career, Johnson added: "I'd say I'm more mature. I've aged. I'm improving all the time and that has been a key factor. "The most important thing for any player is consistency in playing games. That is when you learn from your mistakes. "That is the one thing I can put my finger on."
