John Aldridge: Liverpool FC boss Roy Hodgson is facing his biggest challenge

IT'S far too early to be questioning the manager's position but what's clear is that Roy Hodgson is facing the biggest challenge of his long managerial career.[LNB]We're all waiting for the club's fortunes to improve but things just go from bad to worse.[LNB]Nobody can put their finger on exactly what's going wrong and to be honest it's a culmination of factors.[LNB] The supporters' frustration was clear on another miserable day against Blackpool on Sunday.[LNB]Liverpool fans are renowned for being patient but with everything that's going on around the club in terms of the ownership that's a quality currently in short supply.[LNB]A lot has been made about the fact that a section of supporters were singing Kenny Dalglish's name towards the end of the game.[LNB]It was very un-Liverpool like but I understand the frustration because the results and performances simply aren't good enough.[LNB]Hodgson is an experienced manager who has been in charge at clubs across Europe.[LNB]But he hasn't managed a club as big as Liverpool and this is the toughest situation he has ever been in.[LNB]He has to deal with the pressure and he knows he has to turn things around quickly.
