John Aldridge: Deadline for Liverpool FC debt so crucial to club’s future

05 October 2010 02:00
LIVERPOOL fans are restless and that deadline for the owners to repay the debt to Royal Bank of Scotland is getting closer.[LNB] Everyone is desperately hoping the Americans don't pull a rabbit out of the hat to enable them to stay in control.[LNB]If that happens and they are able to refinance again then it could be the end of Liverpool Football Club as we know it.[LNB] They have to go. We need new people to come in, get that spade in the ground and breathe new life into the club.[LNB]It was good to see thousands protesting against the owners before the game at Anfield on Sunday.[LNB]Some don't like these protests but it's the only way as fans we can make our feelings clear. You can't just sit on your backside and wait for things to happen.[LNB]Thousands made their point loud and clear and hopefully at the next home game even more will join in.
