Joe Cole to make Liverpool debut against Borussia
Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed that midfielder Joe Cole will make his debut in Sunday’s friendly against Borussia Moenchengladbach.The 28-year-old, who moved to Anfield on a free transfer from Chelsea this summer, is yet to make his first appearance for the Reds after an extended break following his participation in the World Cup.Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher are also yet to play their first pre-season games, but manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed the duo - and Cole - will feature at some stage against the German side."Yes they will be involved," the Reds boss told the club's official website."It's a friendly game so I can control the amount of time they play."In competitive games we only have three substitutes to use, so it's very dangerous to put players on the field who don't have 90 minutes in their legs."
