Oh no: Cole reacts after he fluffed his lines at Anfield[LNB]Joe Cole has effectively banned himself from taking penalties for Liverpool following his disastrous miss against Trabzonspor last week.[LNB]The England midfielder, who arrived at Anfield on a free transfer from Chelsea during the summer, spurned a great chance to open his account for his new club when his spot-kick was saved by goalkeeper Onur Kivrak.[LNB]Cole admitted afterwards he had not taken a penalty for more than a decade and after his miss in last Thursday night's Europa League qualifier, he will let others take them in future.[LNB]He said: 'It wasn't the best. I'm not a penalty taker. I hold my hands up and admit that it wasn't good enough and I am anxious that we get the job done so it won't matter.[LNB]'I haven't taken a penalty for about 15 years and I might wait another 15 years before I take another.'[LNB]Cole is in the midst of a three-game ban following his red card against Arsenal on the opening day of the Premier League season.[LNB]But he will be eligible to play in Europe against Trabzonspor on Thursday night where Liverpool take a slender 1-0 advantage to Turkey.[LNB][LNB] Spot of bother: Cole blasts his penalty wide and has pledged not to take any more[LNB]Cole, though, is not taking anything for granted and says Liverpool have been handed the toughest Europa League draw possible.[LNB]He said: 'European games are notoriously tough but we got the jobdone in the end. They were two weeks away from winning the league lastyear and we probably got the toughest draw possible out of the pot wewere in.[LNB]'They are a good side and it is always difficult playing in hostile atmospheres but we have got to have confidence we can see it through.'[LNB] Javier Mascherano stalemate as Barcelona refuse to pay Liverpool £25m for Argentina midfielderKeep out Rafa!
