Jen Chang leaves Liverpool

Liverpool's director of communications Jen Chang has left the club after less than six months in his post. Last month the club apologised to fan Sean Cummins - creator of the fictional Twitter character Duncan Jenkins - for Chang's "inappropriate treatment" during a meeting between the two in Manchester.

Cummins, in an online blog, had alleged Liverpool's communication chief had made a number of threats after accusing him of having a mole inside the club leaking information.

The club accepted "some of the elements highlighted were not appropriate" and apologised and now Chang has departed. "Jen Chang has left Liverpool Football Club by mutual consent and has returned to the US for family reasons," said a Liverpool spokesman.
