Jamie Carragher confident Roy Hodgson has enough strikers at Liverpool
Published: 08 Sep 2010 - 10:53:08
No worries: Liverpool defender Carragher Jamie Carragher is happy with Liverpool's attacking options despite Roy Hodgson's failure to land a striker during the August transfer window. Forwards Joe Cole and Milan Jovanovic arrived at Anfield in the summer but former Fulham boss Hodgson did not sign an out-an-out frontman. But vice-captain Carragher, who had a testimonial against Everton last weekend, said: 'We are looking for Fernando Torres to stay as fit as possible but I think David Ngog in the last 12 months is a completely different player, and his start to the season has been fantastic. 'If you take into account the changes at the club in the sports science department, I think up to now we have done quite well at the start of the season with injuries. 'We've also got Dirk Kuyt and Ryan Babel as well.' Holland international Kuyt is facing a four-week spell on the sidelines after picking up a shoulder injury on international duty.
