ShareWolves have completed the permanent signing of midfielder Jamie O'Hara from Tottenham in a ?5million deal. [LNB]O'Hara has signed a five-year contract after enjoying a successful loan spell at Molineux during the second half of last season, scoring three goals in 13 games. [LNB]An agreement was already in place for O'Hara to make the move should the player and manager Mick McCarthy want that to happen. I had a great career there and the fans were always different class with me.[LNB]I'll always support Spurs but it's one of those things. I had to move on.[LNB]'The chairman and the manager at Wolves put a lot of faith in me after I had been out for a long time with a back problem.[LNB]'I was put straight into the side and to make a permanent move now after a scary end to the season (narrowly avoiding relegation) is brilliant.[LNB]'I didn't even ask for a five-year deal. They offered me it. It is fantastic. It shows they wanted me and wanted me to be here for the long haul.'[LNB] Delighted: Wolves manager Mick McCarthy[LNB]O'Hara's goal on the final day of the campaign against Blackburn helped Wolves to ensure a third season of top flight football.[LNB]He said: 'I don't think we'll have an end to next season like this season.[LNB]'It's going to be our third season in the Premier League and hopefully we can push on and be a force to be reckoned with.[LNB]'It is definitely a club that is on the way up.'[LNB]McCarthy said: 'I am delighted the deal has been done which will see Jamie become a permanent Wolves player. [LNB]'It may have taken a bit of time to finalise all the details but it was always going to happen because we wanted to sign him and he wanted to come.[LNB]'Heshowed some real quality when he was on loan with us last season, and that was having come back from not playing for eight months after a backoperation.[LNB]'Despite that absence, he made a key contribution over the second half of the campaign, and with a full pre-season behind him he has the potential to get even better next season.[LNB]'He is a midfielder who is good on the ball, not afraid to put his foot in and also has an eye for goal.[LNB]'On top of that he is also a good character around the place who has a positive influence in the dressing room.[LNB] Hunted: Wolves are also keen on signing Paul Konchesky from Liverpool[LNB]'He has also built up a great rapportwith the fans who have enjoyed watching him play, particularly of course with the goal of the season he scored against West Brom.[LNB]'Jamieis a quality player - a Premier League player - and just the sort we need to bring in to strengthen the squad ahead of another season in the division.'. [LNB]O'Hara wasoften used effectively just behind the main striker in a 4-5-1 formation as Wolves guaranteed Barclays Premier League football for a third successive season.[LNB]Chief executive Jex Moxey said: 'We are all looking forward to Jamie getting a full pre-season completed, something he missed last year, and playing an integral part from the beginning of next season during which we hope, and expect, him to be even more effective player for Wolves in the Premier League.'[LNB]McCarthy is also interested in signing Liverpool left-back Paul Konchesky who spent the second half of last season on loan to Nottingham Forest.[LNB] The Wolves boss is also looking for a new keeper as back-up for Wayne Hennessey after Marcus Hahnemann was released at the end of last season.
