Jamie Carragher would love Kenny Dalglish to be made Liverpool boss permanently

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher admitted the players would love to see Kenny Dalglish installed as permanent boss after the Reds recorded their fourth successive victory by beating Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.[LNB] The win saw the Reds move up tosixth in the Barclays Premier League standings as the club continuetheir recovery under caretaker boss Dalglish following the departure ofRoy Hodgson.[LNB] On a roll: Raul Meireles celebrates bagging his fourth in five games [LNB] Carragheradmitted the players did not perform well enough under Hodgson, but isnow keen to look to the future.[LNB] 'I have great respect for Roy so I'd never say 'things have changed for the better' and that type of stuff,' he said.[LNB]'As a club and as players we didn't do enough to help the manager out -the performances weren't good enough and obviously the managers takethe brunt of it.[LNB]Carragher also backed Fernando Torres to be asuccess for Chelsea after spoiling the Spain striker's Blues debut byhelping the Merseysiders triumph.[LNB] Raul Meireles hooked home fromclose range after 68 minutes to secure three points for Dalglish's visitors - moments after Torres had been replaced by SalomonKalou.[LNB] [LNB]Carragher said: 'Good players come and go.[LNB] 'We've played against plenty of players (who have left)... we used to play against Robbie Fowler when he went to Leeds... it's not easy. You know the quality.[LNB] 'Fernando is one of the best strikers in the world and I'm sure he'll prove that for Chelsea but he's not with us now.
