Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has revealed his frustration after being sidelined for three months as he recovers from a shoulder injury. [LNB]The 32-year-old suffered a dislocation in the 2-1 defeat at Tottenham on Sunday and will have an operation to solve the problem. [LNB]A disappointed Carragher said: 'I'll be having surgery at the end of the week. The average is about 12 weeks. I'd like to come back before that but I've got to make sure it's right. It will probably be late February or early March when I'm looking to come back.[LNB] [LNB]Missing: Liverpool must do without Carragher for around three months[LNB]'It's difficult for me when I'm injured. It hasn't happened very often, and I'm very lucky with that I suppose, but maybe it's caught up with me a little bit now. [LNB]'I've been here before with a broken leg which put me out this length of time. It's not easy but you've got to get on with it, and it makes you more determined to get back. [LNB]Weeks away: Agger is nursing a calf problem[LNB]'I'm sure towards the end of the season when people are maybe feeling a little bit tired I'll be raring to go.' [LNB]Carragher underwent a scan at Liverpool's Melwood training ground on Mondaymorning before seeing a surgeon at Spire Liverpool Hospital, a centrespecialising in sports injuries.[LNB]The veteran had hoped to avoid an operation and have a much quickerrecovery time but he will now miss crunch clashes as Liverpool playManchester United, in the FA Cup third round, and Everton onconsecutive weekends in January.[LNB]His absence gives manager Roy Hodgson a massive problem at the heartof his defence as Denmark star Daniel Agger is 'weeks' away fromovercoming a calf injury. [LNB]Given that Steven Gerrard is battling to recover from a hamstringtear, Hodgson heads into a difficult run of fixtures - starting away toSteaua Bucharest in the Europa League on Thursday - without hisstrongest characters. [LNB]'Not having Jamie is a really big blow,' conceded defender Fabio Aurelio. [LNB]'We just hope he can come back soon.' [LNB]Head target: Liverpool have been tracking highly-rated France defender Adil Rami[LNB]It leaves Martin Skrtel and Sotirios Kyrgiakos as Liverpool's onlyexperienced central defenders and Hodgson aims to bolster that area ofhis team. [LNB]He has watched Lille's Adil Rami, who made his France debut inAugust and played in the 2-1 win over England earlier this month, andBolton's Gary Cahill is also being considered.[LNB] Rami, a powerful, imposing 24-year-old, fits the criteria owners New England Sports Ventures are looking for in new signings, but a £12.6million price tag is not so appealing.
