Jamie Carragher backed to manage Liverpool by Martin Kelly

Jamie Carragher is the right man to one day succeed Kenny Dalglish as Liverpool manager, according to team-mate Martin Kelly.[LNB]The young Reds defender insists the Anfield stalwart would have no problem getting the best out of the players and would be the perfect choice to step into the hot-seat when manager Dalglish decides to step down.[LNB] Kop that: Martin Kelly believes Jamie Carragher would make a perfect Liverpool manager[LNB]The veteran centre-half has played over 650 games for Liverpool and would almost certainly be a popular choice among the club's fans to one day take over as manager.[LNB]Although Kelly, 21, admits that could be some time away it would fit into Carragher's ambitions, with the former England international keen to stay within the game in a coaching capacity when he retires.[LNB]'It's a long way off but Jamie has got all the attributes to become our manager,' said England Under 21 star Kelly, speaking ahead of this Saturday's crunch clash with rivals Manchester United on Merseyside.[LNB] Learning curve: Kelly says Liverpool's youngsters would immediately take to Carragher as boss[LNB]'He'd get the best out of players and wouldn't settle for second best.[LNB]'I look forward to seeing such a massive player for the club go into management.'[LNB]Carragher, 33, conceded last week he intends to hang up his boots within the next two years and has already embarked on a UEFA B licence coaching course.[LNB] Man in charge: Kelly says Carragher will have to wait until Kenny Dalglish steps down as boss[LNB]'The time will come in the next 12 to 18 months maybe two years,' said Carragher, speaking about his future.[LNB]'I've taken my first steps to coaching and the B licence.
