International round-up

A few Reds were in international action last night. Charlie Adam and Danny Wilson return to Melwood with the bragging rights as the pair helped Scotland beat a Denmark side containing Daniel Agger and Christian Poulsen 2-1 at Hamden Park. Adam had a hand in Scotland's opening goal, as it was his free-kick that was deflected into his own goal by Denmark's William Kvist. Alberto Aquilani came off the subsitute bench for Italy to score the winner as they beat World and European Champions Spain 2-1, for whom Pepe Reina was an unused subsitute. Raul Meireles seems to be fit again after a foot injury as he came on as a half-time subsitute for Portugal in their 5-0 win over Luxembourg.
