Insua sold
Liverpool have agreed to sell Emiliano Insua. The Reds have agreed a fee, believed to be around £5m, for Insua with Fiorentina and the Argentinian defender is now meeting his new club to agree personal terms. "Emiliano has left to go back to Liverpool," said Roy Hodgson. "A deal has been struck with Fiorentina. We wish him well for the rest of his career and thank him for his time spent at Liverpool. "I am expecting him to join Fiorentina next week." Although the transfer fee is a good one for such a fat and slow defender, it does leave the first team without a recognised left-back.
